SKILLS USA AND NJ SKILLS

Skills USA is a national organization dedicated to developing the workforce of the future. NJBBT supports Skills USA by serving on the Baking and Pastry Technical Committee, which oversees the competition, as well as providing judges. There are two contests- one for high school and one for college students.  The students have 8 hours to produce a variety of pastries. For more information about SkillsUSA in general:

NJBBT supports Skills at the state level by overseeing both the Baking and Pastry competition as well as the Wedding Cake Decorating competition. NJBBT awards a grant to the winner of the Baking and Pastry competition to cover their travel expenses to the National Skills competition.
